Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health and substance use needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both mental health and substance use disorders
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to support client recovery and progress
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals to coordinate care for clients
- Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate clients and their families about co-occurring disorders and available resources
- Participate in team meetings to discuss client care and share best practices with colleagues
Requirements
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Valid state licensure as a mental health professional (LCSW, LPC, etc.)
- Experience working with clients who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Experience with evidence-based practices for treating dual diagnoses
- Experience collaborating effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team
- Experience providing direct client-facing therapy or behavioral health care
