Therapist At Risk Youth
About the role
Join our team of dynamic therapists to provide a cutting edge, “gold-standard” evidence-based therapy model. This position includes being trained for a week by the elite MST Institute. This role in MST (Multisystemic Therapy) is a great fit for new Clinicians due to the high level of training, support, and model fidelity, but also for seasoned Clinicians who want to try something new and gain experience in a specialized highly respected practice in a home / community based setting.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate grit, tenacity, and be vastly skilled both clinically and as family advocates.
- Empower caregivers and family members to participate in an integrated team approach to promote and facilitate behavior change in the acting out teenager.
- Facilitate lasting change in children by targeting the family environment and ecological drivers.
- Provide caregivers with the tools they need to transform the lives of youth through an “on-call” rotation.
- Reduce criminal activity and other undesirable behavior according to research demonstrating the effectiveness of MST.
- Work in the youth’s community, ensuring availability throughout the day to travel to the youth’s home and school for meetings and intervention implementation support.
Requirements
- Masters degree in social work, counseling, or psychology with an interest in treating antisocial behavior in youth.
- All applicants should be license eligible in Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, LLP).
- New graduates are welcome and licensure supervision is offered.
