Responsibilities
- Effectively address the mental health/substance abuse needs of high-risk youth through clinical assessment and in-field support.
- Provide a client-centered and strength-based approach to the treatment of youth and families.
- Establish mental health/substance abuse referral partners and identify opportunities for more formal collaboration.
- Facilitate 1:1, family, and group counseling sessions for clients requiring mental health support.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and determine case closure under supervision.
- Offer mental health services using a holistic and trauma-informed lens.
- Make referrals to other organization units and external providers as per service plans.
- Perform case management and connect clients to necessary internal and external services.
- Assist the Intervention Team during crisis situations involving youth.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge in the field through attendance at seminars, workshops, and other professional development activities.
- Support staff in identifying youth mental health issues and referring them to appropriate community partners.
- Attend departmental and agency-wide meetings and participate in agency-wide events.
- Document and report program activities and outcomes, ensuring progress toward annual program objectives.
- Submit statistics and reports to corresponding managers on a bi-weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintain file compliance and adhere to all relevant regulations and policies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work or a related mental health field.
- Working towards or holding licensure (LCSW/LCPC).
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with inner-city youth.
- Proficient in technology (Microsoft Office) and capable of integrating it into daily program operations and evaluations.
- Ability to operate professionally on a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Strong understanding of data collection and program evaluation.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with insurance.
- Pass an extensive background check.
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
- Experience in expressive therapies such as visual arts, dance movement, and music.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
