About the role

Full-time Therapist In Training position within an outpatient mental health team, primarily focused on delivering individual therapy services. Under clinical supervision, the role involves conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, providing psychotherapy and psychoeducation, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position emphasizes trauma-informed, person-centered, and evidence-based practices, with occasional opportunities for group facilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Provide individual psychotherapy
• Deliver psychoeducation to clients
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in treatment and recovery team meetings
• Collaborate with community partners and external providers
• Engage in ongoing clinical supervision and professional development activities
• Facilitate therapy groups as opportunities arise

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field
• Completed practicum experience
• Eligibility for or current possession of a Wisconsin "In Training" license
• Valid driver's license

Preferred

• Active clinical licensure
• Experience working with justice-involved populations
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care approaches
