Position Overview

The Therapist at RCA plays a crucial role in facilitating recovery for patients suffering from addiction. RCA aims to save one million lives by providing evidence-based treatment in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient care, and medication-assisted treatment.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Gather biopsychosocial data and assess readiness for treatment
  • Work collaboratively with clients to identify treatment goals and develop treatment plans
  • Review and recommend treatment options with clients and their families
  • Guide and support clients in developing adaptive skills and behaviors
  • Identify and address behaviors or situations that interfere with recovery
  • Provide education to families about addiction and treatment options
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions to improve communication and support recovery
  • Develop a comprehensive plan for continued recovery after discharge
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary case presentations and discussions

Education & Experience

  • Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling with relevant licenses (LADC1, LADC2, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC)
  • One to three years of experience in behavioral healthcare or substance abuse settings

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 25 pounds

Travel

Primary travel is local during the business day, with some out-of-the-area and overnight travel expected.
