Therapist 1- Outpatient

About the Role

Assess, diagnose, and provide clinical services for individuals with behavioral health disorders. This role involves applying psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to treat diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop initial discharge plans.
• Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions as appropriate for the patient’s treatment plan.
• Develop and revise initial treatment plans based on assessments, coordinating additional services as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards.
• Manage an assigned caseload and participate in treatment team meetings to facilitate patient services.
• Perform case management, discharge planning, or aftercare planning as required.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward patients and staff.
• Address and resolve patient complaints while prioritizing patient safety.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related Human Services field.
• One or more years of experience working with a comparable patient population.
• State or national licensure as a professional therapy provider, or eligibility for state licensure.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training provided upon hire).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility regulations.
