Theoretical Modeling of Sensing Materials for Autonomous Lab Development
About the role
Program goals: develop skills and knowledge in field of study; engage with new areas of basic and applied research; network with world‑class scientists; exchange ideas and skills with the Laboratory community; use state‑of‑the‑art equipment; contribute to answers for today’s pressing scientific questions; collaborate with broader scientific and technical communities.
Project details: The postdoctoral researcher will work on the Autonomous Lab for Sensing Materials Development under mentorship of Yuhua Duan at the NETL Pittsburgh, PA campus. The project aims to develop an autonomous lab that combines AI and automatic robotic operation to accelerate sensing materials discovery. Learning objectives include: (1) using atomistic simulation software and AI/ML techniques on sensing materials database development; (2) analyzing modeling results; (3) learning oral and writing skills for preparing technical reports and giving scientific presentations.
Responsibilities
