About the role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Theatre & Acting Educator to join our growing team and lead engaging after-school theatre programs for elementary and middle school students. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about acting, storytelling, and creative expression, and who enjoy creating a fun, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach theatre and acting fundamentals to students from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade
- Ensure student safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and lead engaging acting exercises, improvisation games, storytelling activities, and creative performances
- Foster confidence, creativity, communication, and teamwork through theatre-based activities
- Adapt lessons to different ages, experience levels, and learning styles
- Effectively manage student behavior using positive reinforcement
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident records
- Prepare and organize activity materials, keeping the learning space clean, safe, and engaging
Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- Ability and willingness to complete 3 hours of online training prior to the start date (Concussion Training, Mandated Reporter, First Aid & CPR)
- Authorization to work in the US
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
