About the Role

The Restaurant Server (RS) is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives in the food service venues. The Server sets up, services, and breaks down food and beverage areas, ensuring a high level of quality, consistency, and service.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests and take beverage and food orders in a prompt and professional manner.
• Prepare food and beverages for service to hotel guests and present food according to established health and presentation standards.
• Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
• Perform side-work and any other opening or closing duties as required. Ensure that wait staff stations are clean and maintained throughout shift.
• Wash dishes as needed.
• Process guest payments and transactions according to cash and charge procedures, as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
• Alert Outlet Management of any service and/or safety issues.
• Make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Deliver passionate and engaging service by recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs to exceed expectations.
• Consistently deliver the GUEST model: Greet or welcome everyone warmly with a smile, use eye and ear contact and the guest’s name, establish/anticipate needs, solve and own all requests/complaints, and thank everyone.
• Build solid relationships with colleagues by treating them with respect and dignity.
• Work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of restaurant serving experience or comparable experience.
• Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience.
• Strong communication skills, utilized for training, safety, and guest interactions.
• Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
• May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
