Responsibilities
- Work closely with captains, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Maintain awareness of guest dining pace to ensure timely service and resets.
- Present and serve bread to guests in a timely and elegant manner.
- Clear plates, cutlery, and glassware discreetly and efficiently between courses.
- Maintain clean and organized side stations with necessary service tools.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to service requests.
- Ensure each table is kept clean, orderly, and visually appealing throughout the meal.
- Answer menu questions and make suggestions regarding food, beverage, and service.
- Greet guests in a friendly, timely manner with a smile, proper English, and correct posture.
- Observe guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
- Deliver dishes from kitchen to dining room promptly and accurately, maintaining proper presentation and pace of service.
- Announce and describe menu items at the table with clarity, confidence, and knowledge of ingredients and preparations.
- Ensure dish is complete with proper accompaniments, garnishes, and silverware before leaving the kitchen.
- Coordinate with captains, servers, and kitchen staff to time courses appropriately and support smooth service flow.
- Handle plates and service ware with care, maintaining the integrity of plating and guest presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo line, service stations, and hallway areas.
- Assist in clearing and resetting tables between courses when necessary, supporting the full front-of-house team.
- Communicate guest allergies, dietary restrictions, and special requests to kitchen and service teams as needed.
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in compliance with luxury service standards.
- Remain composed and professional during high-volume service, with sharp attention to detail and urgency.
- Execute guest service duties in accordance with Forbes/AAA inspection standards and Broadmoor Standards of Excellence.
- Know the table numbers and seat numbers for all areas of the restaurant.
- Communicate directly with chef/expeditor to ensure proper timing of service.
- Be knowledgeable in food product and food preparations.
- Understand what the kitchen is serving and ensure all food is properly served at the tables.
- Maintain thorough menu knowledge.
- Inspect orders for accuracy prior to serving. Bring any concerns to the attention of the Chef de Cuisine or Sous Chef immediately.
- Be able to answer questions guests might have regarding food being served.
- Observe guests and respond to any additional requests.
- Carry dirty dishes from dining room to kitchen.
- Perform tableside dish service.
- Maintain courteous, professional, and polite attitude with all other service and kitchen staff.
- Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with experience working in the Food and Beverage industry.
- Flexibility in schedule as it will change often.
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- In compliance with state liquor laws, must be at least 18 years of age.
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times.

Pay
$23.00-$31.00 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge. The position pays a $6.42 per hour base wage + service charge commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $17.00-$25.00 per hour. Service charges are commissions and will fluctuate based on events and time of year. This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage of $15.16 per hour.
