The Market Front End Cashier Part -Time

About the role
Join the Market at Pineland Farms! We're looking for someone who is friendly, reliable, and enjoys working with people. The ideal candidate is at least 21 years of age, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is available to work between 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., including weekdays and/or weekends, with at least one weekend day required. Previous retail or cashier experience is helpful but not required—we're happy to train the right person. Responsibilities
- Packaging produce and bulk snack inventory
- Basic cleaning tasks such as taking trash out, sweeping and mopping floors, and wiping down counters
- Use of knives, box cutters, and carts
- Greeting customers and providing friendly service
- Operating the cash register and handling transactions accurately
- Stocking shelves and displays with fresh produce and market items
- Keeping the market clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Assisting customers with questions and helping create a welcoming experience at Pineland Farms
Requirements
- Strong customer service and phone etiquette
- Basic knowledge of Pineland Farms and departments
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems in standardized situations

Pay
Hourly pay range: $17.00 - $21.00
