About the Agency

EM Marketing & Communication has established a distinctive presence in 2023 through a blend of creativity, innovation, and strategic communication. Specializing in promotion for Caribbean islands aiming to strengthen ties with Latin America, EM is an allied member of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO). The agency collaborates with Caribbean destinations to enhance market positioning and highlight the diverse opportunities each location offers to trade partners and the public.

In 2023, EM supported Antigua and Barbuda in Public Relations and Marketing efforts across Latin America, developed press strategies for regional islands, and organized fam-press trips for journalists and influencers. The agency also disseminated key news in trade media and participated in major global tourism fairs alongside CTO member countries. Elsa Petersen, CEO of EM Marketing & Communication, notes, “EM has demonstrated exceptional strategic vision by staying ahead of trends and technologies, leading projects on new platforms and formats to achieve successful results.”

Plans for 2024

EM is known for its innovative and creative approach, and its team is already crafting strategies to support Caribbean countries in the new year. Petersen states, “After a successful and innovative 2023, we aim for a 2024 full of opportunities. We are actively planning initiatives to develop alongside our clients.”

The agency is evaluating its participation in key trade events as an allied member of the CTO, including:

  • WTM Latin America: April 15–17, a three-day B2B travel and tourism event offering business opportunities and access to qualified buyers and influencers.
  • Caribbean Travel Marketplace: May 20–23 in Montego Bay, Jamaica (42nd edition).
  • Showcase Antigua and Barbuda 2024: June 4–7, hosted by the Antigua and Barbuda Hotels and Tourism Association (ABHTA) and the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority (ABTA).
  • Caribbean Week New York: June 10–14, an annual event by the CTO showcasing Caribbean travel, culture, customs, and people.

EM has not only made an impact in the past year but is also building a foundation for a future driven by innovation and success.
