The Bus Driver will safely and efficiently drive the UYI school bus in the mornings to pick-up and drop-off the Carver Christian Academy students, as directed by the Operations Manager.

The role involves driving school buses safely and efficiently to transport students to and from their designated schools. This includes preparing the bus, ensuring all safety equipment is in working order, and adhering to strict transportation schedules.

Responsibilities

• Drive school buses safely and efficiently to transport students to and from their designated schools.
• Prepare the bus before each trip, ensuring all safety equipment is in working order.
• Adhere to strict transportation schedules and communicate with school administrators regarding any issues or delays.
• Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the bus interior and exterior.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations related to school bus transportation.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and commercial driver’s license (CDL) with passenger endorsement.
• At least two years of safe driving experience.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong physical condition to operate a large vehicle.
• Good health to perform the physical demands of the job.

Skills

• Knowledge of school bus safety protocols.
