About the role

The Lucy Daniels Center is a leading nonprofit provider of mental health services for children in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina. Founded in 1989, the Center offers clinical treatment to over 500 children annually through various programs. We are now hiring a skilled and compassionate psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in a non-profit outpatient clinic and therapeutic school/day treatment setting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents, using tools to evaluate ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression, and other psychological and developmental concerns.
  • Provide clear, concise, and comprehensive written reports with diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, therapeutic teachers, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Communicate assessment results and recommendations effectively to families and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss case conceptualization and contribute to program development.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with professional, ethical, and legal standards.
  • Stay updated on best practices, research, and advancements in psychological assessment and child/adolescent mental health.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) or Masters degree in Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist, psychological associate, or school psychologist in North Carolina.
  • Demonstrated experience with psychological assessments and report writing for children and adolescents.
  • Proficiency in administering ADOS-II, WISC-V, Rorschach, and projective measures.
  • Strong understanding of child development and psychopathology.
  • Experience or strong interest in learning about psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theories of development and treatment approaches.

Pay

$60,000 - $80,000 per year

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours per week)
