Tester

Scope of Work

The agency needs the service of one, hands-on, Quality Assurance Automated Tester. The specific focus of this candidate will be to ensure that new systems are built in a way that best ensures that functional requirements are met whilst also ensuring that service qualities (Performance, scalability, extensibility, maintainability, security, interoperability) for now and for the future are achievable. This person will also have manual testing hands-on experience. In addition, this role is responsible for reviewing and improving on existing systems, making use of new technologies and methodologies to seek continual improvement for existing systems.

The candidate will work to create a breakdown of the system into components, the component interactions, and interfaces (including with the environment, especially the user), and the technologies and resources to be used in the design. Specific Services Required:

• Follow the core technology and architecture for automated testing of large-scale distributed systems, midrange to client server and n-tier e-commerce applications and solutions.
• Follow specifications to automate the testing of applications.
• Work on all test automation components of solution and create/maintain required technical documentation.
• Follow developed strategies for end-to-end system testing.
• Aid in all testing processes involving the migration and integration of new and legacy technologies.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years' experience with Azure DevOps suite (Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Test Plans, Azure Artifacts).
• 5+ years' experience in automated testing with UFT (Unified Functional Testing) and VBScript or different programming language.
• 5+ years' experience with Automated Testing Frameworks and Manual Testing, Test Methodologies, Test Strategies and Test Beds.
• 5+ years' experience with Agile Methodologies.
• Develop and Maintain UI, Back End, API, and Hardware Test Automation.
• Involvement in a minimum of two large scaled Agile software development projects.
• Knowledge of Testing Tools, Testing Frameworks, Continuous Integration Methodologies.
• Knowledge of Web Application Testing, Distributed System Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Database Testing, Mobile Testing, Security Testing, Accessibility Testing, Web Service Testing.
• Knowledge of .Net, SharePoint, Salesforce.
• Knowledge of Data Modeling and Database Design (preferred).
• Knowledge of Application Modeling and Design.
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures.
• Experience with automated testing in enterprise system integration projects and initiatives; understanding of and experience implementing enterprise integration patterns.
• Thorough understanding of standard QA best practices in an Agile environment including authoring test plans and test cases, executing tests and tracking issues to closure.
• Good understanding of DevOps and setting up Continuous Integration Environments.
• Experience in Test Driven Development and testing tools and techniques.
• Object-Oriented design principles and design patterns.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with QA Functional test suites such as Unified Functional Testing.
• Working automated testing knowledge for C#, WCF, jQuery, XML, JSON, WebApi, SOAP, .NET, JavaScript.
• Testing experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, WCF) and tools such as SOAPUI.
• BS in Computer science, engineering, or technology-related baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, or commensurate experience.
• Experience with Salesforce.
• Experience Microsoft SharePoint.
• Knowledge of Virtualized Hosting Environments.
• Knowledge of .Net, SharePoint, Mulesoft.
• Knowledge of .Net, SharePoint.
• SQL.

Administrative Considerations

• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Work Schedule: Full-Time 40hrs - Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.
• State Resources and Oversight: DCF IS Management Security/Privacy Considerations: Comply with Vendor Qualification, DCF Child Protection Background Check, FBI Fingerprint Background Check and DCF Non-disclosure Agreement.
• General/Miscellaneous: This is a hybrid position and will require in-office presence. In addition, the candidate must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
