About the role
Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Tester - 1st Shift to join our team in Glenolden, PA. The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm, M-F. The hourly rate for this position is $26.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Test electro-mechanical products for compliance to Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and customer/internal drawings.
- Work with PMO, as needed, for customer witness tests.
- Verify product compliance to Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) / drawings and maintain accurate ATP records.
- Utilize test fixtures and test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generator, device programmer, mass spectrometer, vibration table, tenney chamber, hot oil room, etc. to perform ATP.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose common failure modes when test failures occur.
- Inspect and diagnose PC Boards to component level (for failure analysis).
- Coordinate with Engineering group for shared resources and test validation.
- Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical environment.
- Associates or Technical Degree in Electronics or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 2+ years of electronic testing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Skills & Specialized Knowledge
- Understanding basic pressure theory.
- Understanding of electronic theory.
- Basic understanding of Ohm’s law and the relationship between resistance, current, and voltage.
- When an assembly fails resistance at in process or final test, the employee should be capable of diagnosing and recommending fixing, where applicable, in most cases.
- Capable of measuring resistor components with multimeter.
- Knowledge of High and Low pressure test vessels and safety precautions when working.
- Basic Electronics and Mechanical Theory in relation to PC Board troubleshooting.
