Test & Validation Engineer II
About the role
RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, seeks an experienced Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure test readiness and resolve issues. Responsibilities include developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs), supporting production testing, and leading cycle-time improvements.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure test readiness and resolve issues
- Develop MDPs, including test procedures, ensuring alignment with product specifications
- Partner with Test Development Engineering to define and improve test hardware and software
- Support production testing, troubleshoot issues, integrate engineering changes, and manage test equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Evaluate non-conforming material, determine disposition, and conduct root cause and corrective action activities (RCCA)
- Lead cycle-time improvements, ergonomic risk reduction, and automation initiatives
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and 2 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years of Test Engineering experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a related Test Engineering discipline preferred
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of RF principles, circuits, components, and technical parameters
- Proficiency in interpreting test requirements, schematic diagrams, and technical drawings
- Skilled in operating RF test equipment, including power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
- Experience with test software platforms such as TestStand and LabVIEW
