Position Overview
Test technician to perform testing for manufacturing and engineering departments.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Must be able to read and understand a Test procedure to perform testing.
- Must be able to read a wiring schematic.
- Must be able to use network analyzers, oscilloscopes, DMM, Hi-Pot, power supplies, TWT, Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, Vibration system, and function generators.
- Sets up tests as needed.
- Tests prototype, pre-production, and production RF switches.
- Able to trouble shoot a switch issue or set up problem in a timely manner.
- Maintains the test setup and make repairs as needed.
- Recommend equipment needs.
- Works in a timely manner to get the jobs/tasks done on time.
- Works independently from test procedures and/or brief instructions.
- May install/setup test equipment as required.
- Performs product inspection functions as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned such as environmental testing.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- High School Graduate or equivalent with good electrical and mechanical aptitude and comprehension.
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, RF and/or Environmental testing.
- Competent with basic computer applications and data formatting/analysis.
- Able to work with little to no supervision.
Physical Demands
- Able to move around an office building and up stairs.
- Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Able to type on a computer keyboard.
- Able to read documents and computer screens.
- Able to communicate with co-workers.
- Able to push, pull, move 20 pounds.
Work Environment
- Work Arrangement : Onsite
- Pay Range: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
- Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
