Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and RF testing on systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit boards using both manual and automated test equipment.
  • Work from detailed process instructions, work instructions, and test plans to ensure products meet all quality and performance standards.
  • Use various measuring instruments and electronic test equipment, such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, to verify product performance and compliance.
  • Document accurate test data, maintain test records in databases, and generate reports to support traceability and quality control.
  • Assist in improving test procedures by providing feedback and supporting updates to processes and documentation.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and retesting of electronic assemblies to identify and resolve issues discovered during testing.
  • Apply knowledge of ESD procedures to handle sensitive electronic components and assemblies safely and correctly.
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve throughput and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions carefully to complete tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and reliability while working in a fast-paced production environment.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills, including the ability to navigate digital systems for timekeeping, work instructions, and documentation.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently.
  • Experience with electrical and/or micro-electronics (preferred but strongly valued).
  • Knowledge of ESD (electrostatic discharge) procedures and safe handling of electronic components.
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other measurement instruments.
  • Ability to perform electrical and RF testing on systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit boards using manual and automated test equipment.
  • Ability to read and work from process documents, work instructions, and test plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, with a reputation for punctuality, reliability, and a desire to learn and grow in the role.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Eligibility to obtain a security clearance, as required for the role.

Skills

  • Experience working with electronics, including PCB-level work, is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret basic electrical, electronics, and schematic information.
  • Exposure to mechanical aspects of electronic assemblies is a plus.
  • Experience using automated test systems in a production or lab environment.
  • Interest in working within a defense or advanced technology environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment

This role is based in Chelmsford, MA, within a production and test environment focused on advanced electronic and RF systems. The standard schedule follows a 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, with the possibility of overtime depending on production needs. The selected contractor will be required to start and train on a 1st shift schedule for approximately the first month, working Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The facility operates on a 4/10 schedule, providing every Friday off.

You will work with electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test systems, as well as various measuring instruments used to verify product performance. Pay

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
