The Test Technician 2 is responsible for the testing of gas and diesel generator sets to ensure proper function, with troubleshooting any issue that may arise during the test. This position will also be responsible for communicating, organizing, and providing input to test engineers or the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive setup and preparation of generator sets for testing, including installation of fluids, programming controllers, and connecting all required fuel lines, battery cables, exhaust systems, and data/sensing cables.
• Conduct functional testing of generator set accessories by powering up each component and validating operational performance against specifications.
• Operate advanced computerized test equipment to accurately enter, retrieve, and analyze test data, ensuring precise documentation of results.
• Clearly communicate test preparation status and results to internal teams to support efficient workflow and issue resolution.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental protocols throughout the testing process.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of testing experience in a heavy-duty manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Good understanding of engine functions and electricity (i.e., A/C and D/C)
• Mechanical and electrical knowledge; proficiency with hand, power, and diagnostic tools
• Experience with computerized test equipment and data analysis
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
• Capable of solving practical problems and adapting to changing technology

Mental & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently

Pay

$28.54 - $42.80 hourly
