About the role
The Test Solutions organization within RTX drives business success by providing a variety of critical engineering services across product lines and functions. We are seeking a Senior Principal Execution Lead to be responsible for highly complex or high-visibility programs, large engineering teams, and multi-IPT coordination.
Responsibilities
- Owns program execution strategy, baseline stability, risk posture, integration readiness, and customer-facing execution reporting.
- May mentor CAMs or serve as CAM for major control accounts.
- Mastery of execution leadership, EAC strategies, EV trend analysis, and cross-functional influence.
- Independently lead cross-functional engineering teams including electrical, mechanical, software, and systems in executing the full test-system lifecycle (design, development, integration, sell-off).
- Manage day-to-day technical execution of assigned work packages, ensuring clear tasking, issue escalation, scope adherence, and alignment to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Drive timely visibility of technical, schedule, and integration risks; conduct 30/60/90-day look-ahead reviews and maintain tight execution cadence.
- Approve technical changes; contribute to FRBs and CCBs; maintain integration readiness artifacts and ensure systems meet entry and exit criteria.
- Partner closely with CAMs and PMO/IPT leadership to ensure plans, deliverables, and milestones remain executable and aligned with program objectives.
- Provide accurate execution status, staffing forecasts, supplier updates, risk and issue reporting, and other data essential to CAM cost and schedule analysis.
- Understand EVMS fundamentals, including how baseline changes, BCRs, QBDs, EAC/LRE updates, and cost and schedule variance drivers impact execution.
- Ensure EL-led execution aligns with CAM-managed control account budgets, plans, and performance measurements.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues using scopes, analyzers, and related diagnostic tools.
- Follow established Test Solutions processes and contribute to continuous improvement of integration workflows and readiness practices.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years prior relevant experience.
- Experience supporting or leading Test Systems Development efforts (hardware/software development, integration, V&V).
- Working knowledge of EVMS fundamentals, IMS/IMP alignment, R&O management, and test system lifecycle.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary team of sub-IPMs and engineers.
- Strong influential communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present analytic and performance results from program to executive and/or functional leadership.
- Experience in large program execution.
- Demonstrate understanding of Research/Development, Capital, engineering development, transition to production, production, and maintenance.
- Experience with proposal capture and contract processes from receipt of Requests for Proposal (RFP), preparing Basis of Estimates (BOE), proposal submittal, preparing Statements of Work (SOW), contract startup and contract close-out.
- Experience with all the functionalities of Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT).
- Agile Methodologies understanding.

Pay
The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD.
