Test Specialist, Self-Driving (Afternoon Shift)

What You'll Do

• C Conduct vehicle-level testing and validation of the Autopilot system including features such as Full Self-Driving, Autosteer, Automatic Emergency Braking, etc.
• M Maintain Tesla’s confidentiality with respect to prototype hardware, software, and unreleased vehicle programs
• P Perform precision driving maneuvers to safely evaluate performance at or above the system limitations
• E Safely execute real-world testing
• A Analyze data to triage issues with vehicle behaviors using proprietary Tesla tools
• M Maintain and document test vehicle condition, coordinate repairs and retrofits with technicians as necessary
• S Support various ad-hoc vehicle engineering testing requests as needed

  What You'll Bring

  • E Experience with limit handling of vehicles on closed courses, a background in Motorsports is preferred
  • D Excellent attention to detail and high situational awareness
  • T Familiarity with hand tools and/or vehicle maintenance skills
  • A Knowledge in the autonomous vehicle space, Autopilot systems and sensors
  • S Excellent software skills. Familiarity with Excel and Python is a plus
  • F Flexibility to travel, domestic or international up to 70%, with minimal lead time
  • P Passion for vehicle testing and Tesla's mission
