Test Software Engineer II

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The ability to obtain and maintain an active, existing U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance is required after day one.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Software Engineer located onsite in McKinney, TX. This position is 100% onsite and focuses on the development, integration, test, and maintenance of software as part of factory support for test systems to enable product testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using specified software styles, development languages, and integrated development environments.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary engineering teams in the development of both engineering and production test equipment, environments, and systems.
• Complete all stages of test product development for Raytheon test products.
• Uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test systems, either independently or as part of a team.
• Develop and maintain Automated Test Equipment (ATE) test software for a factory/production environment to exercise and analyze hardware deliverable products.
• Support cradle-to-grave efforts including requirements, design, integration, validation, verification, and maintenance for all test software activities.
• Prioritize, handle, and lead multiple tasks in a production environment.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware for test equipment development.
• Communicate with engineering teams, functional and program leadership.

Qualifications

You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience developing and integrating software applications using C, C++, C#, NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, or other test software programming languages.
• Experience developing automated test stations/systems.
• Experience with ATE test software requirements, design, implementation, integration, validation, and verification process events.

We Prefer

• Development and maintenance experience with ATE Graphical User Interface (GUI) and/or Test Program Set (TPS) test software.
• Ability to interface ATE test software with laboratory and production test instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and/or direct current power supplies.
• Understanding of ATE test software requirements, design, implementation, integration, validation, and verification process events.
• Knowledge of software Configuration Management environments such as Git/Github.
• Experience with Agile environments for software development.
• Experience with cross-platform tool software development supporting Windows and Linux OS.
• Experience with Wind River vxWorks, Linux embedded OS.
• Experience with file transfer protocol (FTP) and data transfer between Unit Under Test and test set computer for software/firmware loading and data captures.
• Knowledge of FPGA code development.
• Experience with Wind River Workbench, Wind River Tornado, Xilinx Vivado, and Xilinx SDK.
• Knowledge of Wind River Tool Exchange (WTX) and Target Connection Framework (TCF) interfaces.
• Experience with JTAG interfaces and tools for software, firmware, and Board Support Package (BSP) programming.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
