Test Material Processor (Quality Technician Weekend Nights)

About the role

Test Material Processor at the Cudahy, WI facility, responsible for preparing test samples via machine tool operation for metallurgical testing and conducting certain metallurgical tests on various materials and forgings.

Responsibilities

• Layout and section off test material.
• Turning, facing, form grinding, threading of cylindrical test specimens, polishing of test specimens and redlining of test specimens.
• Turning and facing of etch samples and sawing, shaping, milling and surface grinding of rectangular shaped test specimens.
• Preparation of etched samples.
• Produce test specimens through hot working operation of the Hot Compression Tester and related equipment (performed jointly with IFPTE techs).
• Store, scrap and dispose of production related test material.
• Store, scrap and dispose of acceptance material.
• Experimental Heat Treat Operations.
• Pick-up and delivery of test material.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must take and pass aptitude test
• Ability to utilize a tape measure
• Experience reading blueprints

Qualifications

• 1+ years of machining experience (preferred)

Shift options: 2nd Shift Monday‑Friday 11 AM‑7 PM OR 4th Shift Sunday‑Thursday 11 PM‑7 AM.
