  • Manages costs to maintain budget while maintaining service standards.
  • Educates and assists management in analyzing P&Ls and creating cost improvement objectives.
  • Manages individual G&A expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Establishes cost improvement objectives and implements specific action plans.
  • Manages inventory standards and procedures.
  • Prepares challenging and realistic location budgets.
  • Follows and audits cash-handling policies and procedures.
  • Measures ROI on community partnerships.
  • Leads the new restaurant opening process.

Operations

  • Maintains Health Department and Company standards.
  • Maintains facilities properly, including equipment and building maintenance.
  • Fulfills company standards, procedures, and policies.
  • Ensures locations provide best in class service and environment.
  • Models guest service and satisfaction.
  • Monitors guest comments and handles complaints promptly.

People Retention and Development

  • Maintains staffing levels, on-boarding, training programs, and succession planning.
  • Coaches and develops managers and team members.
  • Analyzes own performance to develop self-improvement objectives.
  • Maintains consistent performance standards.
  • Develops teamwork and engagement.
  • Responds to manager and team member needs, concerns, and feedback.
  • Praises, rewards, and recognizes team members.
  • Ensures retention of managers and team members.
  • Establishes an inclusive atmosphere.

Financial Management

  • Maintains costs within budget while maintaining service standards.
  • Educates and assists management in analyzing P&Ls and creating cost improvement objectives.
  • Manages individual G&A expenses and capital expenditures.
  • Establishes cost improvement objectives and implements specific action plans.
  • Manages inventory standards and procedures.
  • Prepares challenging and realistic location budgets.
  • Follows and audits cash-handling policies and procedures.

Community

  • Demonstrates current knowledge about the industry and the community.
  • Partners with marketing to create sales-building plans with a strong focus on community programs.
  • Translates community involvement into tangible sales and brand awareness.
  • Measures ROI on community partnerships.
  • Leads the new restaurant opening process.

Education/Training/Work Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years in Casual Dining/QSR General Manager role.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in Multi-Unit Leadership role.
  • Strong background in restaurant operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Software Package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a restaurant environment.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and move freely using all limbs and lift at least 30 pounds.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, attend meetings, and visit Jim ‘N Nick’s locations, vendors, etc., possibly in other geographical locations, in inclement weather, and with minimal notification when needed.
  • Ability to work under a high degree of stress on a physical, mental, and emotional level; this includes performing work in a fast-paced manner and making timely decisions.
