Test Lab Supervisor

The Role -

• Delegates projects and production support work
• Aids in planning, quantifying, scheduling, and prioritizing projects
• Serves as supervisor for a subset of Test Lab personnel

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops and tracks Test Lab KPI metrics
• Writes and enhances test procedures
• Aids in and expedites Test Lab Continuous Improvement efforts
• Writes and reviews employee evaluations
• Reviews and provides feedback on work instructions
• Writes and reviews technical memos and engineering reports
• Assists with failure analysis of Connector assemblies
• Performs re-qualifications for Mil/Aero QPL connector products
• Aids with qualification testing for products in both Mil/Aero and Commercial products
• Researches equipment, procedural, and software enhancements
• Plans and performs engineering project assignments related to design, development, evaluation, or qualification
• Works under minimal supervision, providing technical direction to Lab Technicians
• Responsible for portion of Test Lab equipment
• Operates in a team-based work setting

• 30 Minute Drive from Binghamton, NY
• 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY

Salary -

• $85,000 - $125,000

The Person -

• Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering discipline with 2-4 years of relevant work experience
• Thorough working knowledge of engineering principles as applied to electrical connectors
• Capable of independently representing the company
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office tools
• Basic expertise in programming automatic test equipment
• Familiarity with Military Specifications/Standards and Industry Standard test methods and equipment for connectors
• Knowledge of AS400 programs for product information and purchasing requisitions
• Ability to apply sound engineering techniques and practices
• Job requires movement between test equipment and some minor lifting
