About the role
We are seeking a Test Lab Manager to support our bedding business. Join our team to ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical, mechanical, and performance testing on products and components using standardized test methods.
- Interpret and apply industry testing standards to ensure product compliance and safety.
- Ability to interpret data and create testing reports designed to effectively communicate to a wider range of positions and functions.
- Perform and document routine system checks, preventive maintenance, and calibration activities.
- Record, analyze, and clearly document test results with high accuracy and full traceability, producing stakeholder-ready reports for immediate review.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Quality, and Sourcing teams to align on testing needs.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve lab processes, increase efficiency, and enhance quality.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Supervise, train, and mentor lab technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to support skill development.
Requirements
- Minimum of a 2-year technical degree or 5 years of relevant technical and management experience.
- Hands-on lab experience.
- Communication, records management, technical competence, analytical problem-solving.
- Experience in MS Excel and database management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities and projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (plus minimum of 2 years of relevant technical and management experience).
