Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of comprehensive test plans and procedures for maritime navigation equipment.
  • Develop and maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) to ensure 100% test coverage of all functional and performance requirements.
  • Oversee day-to-day testing operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
  • Conduct Critical Item Tests (CIT) on high-priority components and subsystems to identify potential failure points early in the lifecycle.
  • Cook with the development technical staff to troubleshoot hardware and software integration issues discovered during testing.
  • Identify system anomalies and generate detailed Software/System Trouble Reports (STRs).
  • Analyze test data to determine system stability, accuracy, and compliance with naval specifications.
  • Generate formal Test Reports (TR) that document test results, deviations, and final recommendations for system certification.
  • Participate in technical reviews and provide data-driven insights to the engineering team for system improvements.

Qualifications

  • Test Engineer I: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, 0 Years of Experience Required.
  • Test Engineer II: Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline, 3 years of experience required.
  • Test Engineer III: Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline, 7 Years of Experience Required.
  • Test Engineer IV: Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline, 10 Years of Experience Required.

Schedule

Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings.
