Test Engineer, Product Qualification

Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on work and operate Linear Generator units, collaborating with end-of-line team
- Qualify cores and units for shipment to customer sites in Menlo Park facility
- Outline and develop testing processes and infrastructure to scale up product qualification tests
- Generate, analyze, and automate data reports on new units, working with all engineering teams to identify and root cause issues
- Collaborate with manufacturing testing team to develop new automation processes for qualification testing
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent with 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience conducting experimental hardware projects, particularly in product qualification or manufacturing test engineering
- Proficiency in programming in at least one language (e.g., Python, MATLAB)
- Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams

Pay
The salary range for this position is determined by local market conditions and the candidate's experience. New hires typically start within the base pay range noted above, with opportunities for pay increases based on skill development and company-specific knowledge.

The position is full-time and located at Mainspring Energy's headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
