About the role

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Lab Technician to oversee the management and maintenance of our cutting-edge technology lab.

Responsibilities

• Hardware Management: Maintain and troubleshoot Google Pixel devices (phones, watches, and buds). Configure and optimize devices for testing and development. Ensure devices are up-to-date with the latest firmware and software. Track assets, perform audits, and coordinate repairs or replacements.
• Linux Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers. Manage user accounts and permissions. Monitor server performance and security. Troubleshoot server issues. Implement backups and disaster recovery. Automate tasks with scripting.
• Networking: Set up and maintain network infrastructure. Troubleshoot connectivity problems. Configure routers, switches, and firewalls. Understand TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and maintain network security.
• Inventory Management: Oversee lab equipment inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and consumables. Maintain accurate records and coordinate procurement for timely replenishment.
• Lab Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment. Troubleshoot technical issues and support lab users. Coordinate with teams for smooth operations. Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master of Engineering.
• Strong technical skills with Google Pixel devices, Linux servers, networking, and inventory management systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Cloud-based technologies (e.g., GCP).
