Test Engineer- Manufacturing Quality (3rd Shift)
New Product Introduction
Develop and implement new and improved test methods to enhance capabilities, support growth, new model introduction, and improve outgoing quality via enhanced test firewalls.
Drive improvement projects through the CIB process. i.e. Able to write and analyze Test Codes for leak and flow rates, wattage, resistance, Hipot, Ground bond and other basic test parameters.
Drive project improvement pulsing’s including organizing project leaders around Test Systems improvement goals.
Factory Support
Act as the first point of contact for test equipment issues on the production floor.
Build strong partnerships with shop operations to react swiftly to inefficiencies.
Maintain, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on test equipment, ensuring spare parts and troubleshooting procedures are always in place.
Error Proofing
Implement Poke-Yoke work methods for testing and develop standard work and workstation aids to assist in operator training and operational consistency to improve quality yields.
Review daily assembly line test loops for equipment failure.
Work with Process Improvement Engineers and maintenance to have the equipment repaired.
Sustain
- Maintain quality test equipment, and gages as assigned.
- Ownership for the calibration and preventative maintenance of test equipment as assigned.
- Ownership for the having spare parts and trouble- shooting procedures in place for test equipment to minimize down time as assigned.
