Test Engineer II

About the role

BAE Systems is growing in Endicott, NY due to increased production and new development projects, including the exciting new Aircraft Electrification program that merges technology from military and commercial flight control electronics as well as power and propulsion controls products. The company is seeking experienced Test Engineers to join the team in Endicott, NY to develop and support production acceptance tests for complex control and power electronics systems. As a Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products. This role requires full‑time, on‑site work (100% of the time) at a BAE Systems facility in Endicott, NY.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical ownership of production test on multiple complex programs.
• Support test technicians with difficult troubleshooting of complex problems.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentoring to test technicians.
• Support the Test Engineering Manager in planning necessary production test resources to support contract commitments, including coordinating new purchases and repair and maintenance of existing equipment.
• Ensure commitment to the "Total customer satisfaction" quality policy.
• Be self‑directed and able to organize workload to develop a plan that maximizes task efficiency.
• Use strong written and verbal communication skills as an interface with internal and external customers.
• Maintain a flexible schedule and exceptional work ethic to respond to the challenges of a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• 2‑year technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of working experience in an engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, electrical circuits, and component troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work independently as part of a larger team.
• Self‑directed.

Qualifications

• BSEE or similar 4‑year technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Computer Engineering Technology.
• Experience working in a production test environment on military flight controls.
• Experience working with CsGTI, NI TestStand, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, or similar test executives and programming languages used in the Test Engineering discipline.

Pay

Full‑time salary range: $72,150 – $122,655. Individual salaries are determined by business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.

This position is full‑time and requires on‑site work 100% of the time at the BAE Systems facility in Endicott, NY.
