About the role
We are seeking experienced Electrical, Software, or Test Design Engineers to design and develop mission-critical test solutions and software for Next Generation Electronic Warfare Systems. This role supports rapid development and delivery of critical capabilities to warfighters and involves a hybrid work format, with time split between onsite and remote work.
You will be part of a growing team developing automated test software solutions, assuming technical leadership, and interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who can complete assignments with minimal oversight, provide technical direction, and dynamically adapt to the needs of a production engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate automated test equipment and software using proprietary NI Test Stand libraries and executives.
- Design test hardware according to BAE and industry standards.
- Follow the test solution development life cycle: requirements review, test plan creation, design reviews, coding, integration of test software with test stands, and sell-off to customers.
- Perform software and hardware integration, debug, and troubleshooting for automated test solutions in a production factory environment.
- Provide technical status updates to program management and direction to individual contributors.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and technical lead for the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or related field, and 2+ years of related work experience (or equivalent experience).
- U.S. citizenship (required for government contract).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Proficient in developing and integrating automation test measurement software for a production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience or Master’s Degree with 1+ year of experience.
- Proficient in National Instruments Test Stand.
- Familiarity with RF test measurement methodology and automation of:
- S-Parameter measurements
- Spectral Measurements
- Power Measurements
- RF Stimulus
- Experience automating digital communication protocols, including at least one of:
- MLVDS
- RS232/485/422
- PCI/PCIe
- JTAG
- SPI, I2C
- Familiarity with programming languages: C, C++, C#, VB, Python.
- Experience with Keysight Network Analyzers (PNA-X) and Signal/Spectrum Analyzers (MXA, PSA, CXA).
- PXI-based instrumentation experience.
- Experience with National Instruments FlexRIO (LabVIEW FPGA/VHDL/Verilog a plus).
- JTAG/Boundary project development in an ATE solution.
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence), Git, and Tortoise Git.
- Knowledge of Earned Value and Project Management.
- Experience with UNIX, Linux, VxWorks, BASH, VMWare.
- Familiarity with CREO, Cadence, AutoCAD.
- Technical or team leadership experience.
- Strong communication skills, initiative, and a closure-oriented nature.
- Experience with software version control and bug tracking tools.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $86,580 – $147,186. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
