About the role
We are seeking a motivated Test Engineer to support product testing and validation activities in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will execute functional, performance, and reliability testing, document test results, assist with product validation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Understand product requirements, test specifications, and project documentation.
- Prepare test cases, test checklists, and test plans under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Execute functional, performance, reliability, and verification tests according to approved procedures.
- Accurately record test results and report defects, deviations, or failures with supporting evidence.
- Assist in product validation, verification, and design testing activities.
- Support defect tracking and collaborate with engineering teams to investigate test failures.
- Maintain test equipment, tools, and test samples in proper working condition.
- Follow quality, safety, and compliance procedures throughout all testing activities.
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to clarify technical issues.
- Prepare test reports, daily status updates, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in product testing, quality assurance, validation, or manufacturing testing is preferred.
- Understanding of functional, performance, and reliability testing methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test documentation processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic technical reporting.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of quality systems and manufacturing processes is a plus.
