About the Role

The Test Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of our products. The role will work cross-functionally to identify and resolve defects and ensure that products meet performance, reliability, and user experience standards.

Responsibilities

• Derive and verify customer test specifications
• Maintain and utilize computer software programs for test data acquisition, reduction, plotting, and tracking
• Plan and conduct tests of Diesel Engines, Cross drive transmissions, and other Powertrain equipment
• Write, maintain, and improve Renk test procedures and standards
• Prepare test documentation and customer presentations
• Design and specify control systems for test cell operation, test fixtures, and test equipment including system design, software and sensor selection, panel layout, and schematic development
• Work with test technicians in the operation, maintenance, and upgrade of test equipment
• Introduce new concepts for test engineering
• Work closely with internal test customers

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field with 2 years of prior related experience
• Associate’s Degree in a Technical field with 6 years of prior related experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Substantial experience with system control methodologies and technologies and the acquisition of electronic control system data
• Demonstrated knowledge of test equipment and methods including data acquisition and instrumentation
• User-level experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and OPTO 22 software/hardware systems
• Experience post-processing data using Excel and/or MATLAB/Simulink preferred
• Ability to work well with internal and external customers and Government representatives
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Must be able to move freely, with or without accommodation, throughout the manufacturing environment
