Responsibilities
- Performs DC and AC bench measurements of semiconductors using various equipment like Lorlin or TESEC semiconductor testers, Spectrum analyzer, Oscilloscope and Pulse generator.
- Documentation of test methodology, operating instructions, qualification protocols, and development of test procedure documents to support standardized testing and training.
- Perform data analysis from lot measurements to evaluate trends, establish baseline performance, calculate delta parameters and three sigma limits, and identify abnormal variation affecting yield, quality, or reliability.
- Design and develop test hardware (e.g., interface boards, sockets, fixtures) and software for DC and AC measurements (e.g., switching time, hfe, leakage).
- Perform and debug test programs, tester hardware, and bench setups for accurate measurements.
- Select and qualify vendors for parts and materials to be used in test hardware.
- Work closely with Wafer Fab, Assembly, and Test teams to find solutions to production issues including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Support failure analysis and investigation of failed parts and materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or related field required. Master’s degree is highly desired.
- 1+ years’ experience in testing semiconductors in a production setting in accordance with space, military, or government specifications required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of physics of semiconductors, test principles and test parameters definition as they apply to small signal bipolar transistors, Schottky diodes, rectifiers, MOSFET’s, and optocouplers.
- Knowledge of ATE, TESEC ATE systems a plus.
- Knowledge of curve tracers, pulse and waveform generators, various power supplies and miscellaneous measurement equipment required.
- Knowledge of high frequency test techniques and equipment (up to 5 GHz) preferred.
- Proficiency in the set-up, calibration and performance of various dynamic and high frequency parameter testing as it applies to above-listed device types: switching times, safe operating area, noise measurements, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills involving test systems, product failures, and production-related electrical issues desired.
- Must be a team player.
