Test Engineer
About the role
Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Test Engineer with a TS/SCI security clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer in Vienna, VA. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties
- Analyze requirements and design test plans to prioritize test activities for each iteration.
- Serve as subject matter specialist, and provide testing knowledge for the support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications.
- Write, implement, and report status for system test cases.
- Develop, maintain, and execute manual and automated test scripts.
- Analyze and document test results and recommend user story adjustments.
- Perform validation after deployment dry run.
- Perform new functionality and regression testing throughout the sprint cycle, including load testing.
- Validate proposed system architecture and run test procedures to ensure that the user stories are met.
- Work with other Test Engineer contract staff related to cross-training and knowledge sharing activities.
- Function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding the organization’s testing software and methodologies and provide recommendations to the government related to production implementation strategies, advanced troubleshooting techniques and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with management and IT counterparts to define, refine, and maintain IT testing strategies, ensuring strategies are aligned to the goals of the Agile-Scrum development environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual testing methods to confirm operational software is defect-free and design objectives are met.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
- Use automated testing tools the government requests, including but not limited to JIRA, QuickTest Professional, LoadRunner, Selenium Tool Suite.
- Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
Requirements
- Four years of relevant experience in software testing.
- Ability to demonstrate working in an operational environment where priorities change frequently.
- Expertise in information system design, including application programming on large-scale database management services and the development of complex software to satisfy design objectives.
- TS/SCI security clearance required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
