About the role
JGMS Government Services is looking to hire an experienced A4W propulsion plant operator to join our client's team as a Test Engineer supporting A4W Fleet Interactive Training Equipment (FITE). FITEs are high-fidelity simulation platforms used to develop and maintain the operational readiness skills of the deployed fleet.
Responsibilities
- Support the A4W FITE platform and cross-train to support the A1B FITE platform.
- Certify hardware and software-based field changes prior to deployment to the FITE sites, focusing on plant operations to ensure FITE operational values conform with expected plant response.
- Support other groups as they develop field changes by leveraging the FITE preproduction units.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Previous A4W qualification as Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW), Propulsion Plant Watch Officer (PPWO), or Engineering Watch Supervisor (EWS).
- Semiannual travel to other client sites.
- Ability to cross-train on the A1B platform.
- Ability to learn the simulation software platform.
- Must possess a DOE L security clearance.
- Pre-employment drug screening and background review, including checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verification.
