Test Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain test documentation to meet customer and internal specifications
- Understand product requirements and functionality
- Write test procedures to detail steps needed to complete testing
- Track requirement compliance through designated verification methods
- Utilize Engineering Change Control process to keep documentation updated and useful
- Design test fixtures and procure test equipment needed to meet test requirements
- Implement process improvements to test flows or test methodologies
- Analyze test results and compile into deliverable Test Reports
- Document and troubleshoot testing anomalies and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Schedule test resources for in-house testing based on engineering and production schedules
- Coverage of test readiness reviews to validate procedures, fixtures, and configuration control prior to test execution
- Ensure data integrity through disciplined configuration management, test article tracking, and revision control of all test-related documentation
- Lead the test strategy development for new products or programs
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Math disciplines or equivalent
- Required: 2+ years experience in aerospace or other advanced technology product testing
- Preferred: Experience testing devices and hardware that operate at radio frequencies
- Preferred: Experience working an AS9100 or ISO9001 environment
- Preferred: Experience with aerospace test standards and electronic standards testing, including MIL-STD-810, DO-160, NASA-STD-7001, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, and DO-254
- Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and possible solutions to peers, management, and customers
- Required: A desire to find, explore, and solve new and challenging problems, including recommending improvements to test methods and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Required: Comfortable in a lab environment
