About the role
We are seeking a Test Engineer to support product testing, validation, and production engineering activities. This role will focus on developing and executing test processes across hardware and software platforms, analyzing results, troubleshooting test issues, and ensuring products meet performance and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and execute product testing activities.
- Define, organize, and perform detailed tests to verify product performance, functionality, quality, and reliability.
- Configure systems and determine the appropriate combination of tests based on product requirements.
- Support software download, pre-burn, run-in, and post-burn testing processes.
- Define and support test equipment and fixtures.
- Analyze test results and thoroughly document findings.
- Write error reports and test specifications.
- Perform configuration management of test suites.
- Verify new tests and customer bundles prior to implementation.
- Provide test-related training and technical support.
- Work across a variety of hardware and software platforms.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in product functionality, quality, reliability, or system testing.
- Experience testing products containing both hardware and software components preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred.
- Strong technical understanding of Microsoft Windows.
- Experience with Unix preferred.
- Knowledge or experience with C/C++.
- Experience testing within a network environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to take ownership of assignments and work with minimal supervision.
