Test Engineer

About the role

Review the overall architecture of basic hardware, software, and networking systems by composing detailed test plan scripts, executing the tests, documenting the results, and analyzing the output. Telecommuting is permitted 100%. Position reports to company headquarters in Englewood, CO.

Responsibilities

• Identify data needed for tests; create new data or obtain existing data to meet test requirements.
• Work with Test & Defect Management tools.
• Understand requirements and perform basic development and maintenance of test suites per project needs.
• Perform automated and manual test execution for functional, application, regression, and integration tests.
• Assist with rollout of new or upgraded hardware, software, and networking systems.
• Keep informed of emerging technologies and product offerings within the industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience or education with the following skills:
  • Software testing including research, design, methodologies/processes, implementation, and documentation.
  • Software testing tools and evaluation of testing tools.
  • Software test plan development and test environments.
  • Planning and organizing test plan execution.
  • Testing methodologies and procedures.

Pay

$76,128 – $108,229.96 per year.
