About the role

The Lead Test Engineer will lead a test team to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW) capabilities for the U.S. Space Force. This role involves interpreting contemporary capabilities, translating them into test criteria, and ensuring mission needs are met through advanced technology solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of large-scale system test plans and test and evaluation strategy documents based on System and Subsystem Requirements.
  • Collaborate with government clients, FFRDCs, contractors, and teammates to achieve program goals.
  • Communicate and establish collaborative relationships to achieve program objectives.
  • Define, develop, maintain, and execute test strategies, plans, reports, and briefings.
  • Translate System and Subsystem Requirements into measurable test criteria.
  • Identify areas requiring urgent mitigation and develop advanced technology solutions.
  • Support overall engineering integration of systems engineering and integration efforts for the DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading test and evaluation, or system integration on Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including complex ground software and hardware systems.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a collaborative team environment, developing test strategies, plans, reports, and briefings, and participating in test execution, verification, or analysis.
  • Experience supporting overall engineering integration of systems engineering and integration efforts for the DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2.
  • Ability to define, develop, maintain, and execute large-scale system test plans and overarching test and evaluation strategy documents based on System and Subsystem Requirements.
  • Communication and relationship-building skills with government clients, FFRDCs, developing contractors, and associate contractor teammates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Technology.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Technology preferred.
  • CTEP or INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certification preferred.

Skills

  • Systems engineering and integration experience.
  • Experience with portfolio and program verification, interoperability, validation, certification, and operational acceptance.
  • Experience planning, executing, and reporting testing with the Lead Developmental Test Organization or the Operational Test Agency.
  • Experience using Model-Based Systems Engineering tools to manage system definitions, technical baselines, and requirements verification.

Pay

$86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
