Test Engineer
Candidates must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States without needing Visa sponsorship. W2 only; 1099 or C2C candidates cannot be accepted. Must be local to the Cincinnati, OH area.
About the Role
The Test Engineer ensures the resilience, reliability, and regulatory compliance of all systems impacted by the company system migration initiative. This role leads comprehensive testing cycles—functional, regression, performance, and disaster recovery—designed to validate system behavior under high-volume financial transaction loads. Through disciplined defect management and automation, the engineer safeguards production readiness and reduces risk across critical banking workflows.
Focus: Quality Assurance & Performance Validation
Responsibilities
- Execute the full test stack: SIT, UAT, Performance (throughput/latency), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
- Utilize C# TestStack for automated regression and functional testing.
- Conduct volume testing (up to 200% of daily volume) to ensure system stability.
- Manage defect classification, severity tracking, and exit criteria enforcement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of automation testing experience and 5 years of manual testing experience.
- Background in automated testing frameworks for high-volume transaction systems.
- Familiarity with financial compliance routing (Legal/Brand review triggers).
- Experience querying databases to test data-centric features.
- Strong analytical, organizational, time management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
