What You’ll Do
- Component selection (heat exchangers, pumps, fans, compressors, controls, etc)
- Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Assembly (DFA)
- Commitment to AKG’s Corporate Principles
- Support market research led by Marketing and Product Development Manager and identify opportunities for product improvement within AKG’s catalogue
- SUPPORT THE CREATION OF NEW TESTS AND METHODS FOR VALIDATION AND VERIFICATION OF PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS AND REQUIREMENTS
- EXECUTE VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION TESTING AT THE REQUEST OF OTHER DEPARTMENTS
- WRITE TECHNICAL REPORT TO SUMMARIZE TESTING AND VALIDATION EFFORTS
- PROVIDE ENGINEERING SUPPORT TO TESTING AND VALIDATION DEPARTMENT
- BUILD AND TEST BATTERY THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (BTMS) PROTOTYPES
What We're Looking For
- BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- Strong thermodynamics background
- Strong structural knowledge
- Able to engineer creative and sound technical solutions
- Technical writing and English capabilities
- Strong Excel and Matlab data management skills
- Wiring and instrumentation experience (preferred)
- Data acquisition experience (preferred)
- Machine shop/fabrication experience (preferred)
- TIG welding capability (preferred)
- CAN Architecture familiarity (preferred)
- Experience with high voltage (desired)
- Experience with Battery Thermal Management Systems (desired)
