Test Engineer

About the role
Seeking a Test Engineer to support the development, planning, execution, and oversight of spacecraft hardware testing. The position involves hands-on operation of test equipment and support of advanced technologies, including vacuum chambers, ion beam systems, and high-voltage electronics.
Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, including verification and validation matrices.
- Create test procedures for a variety of qualification, acceptance, and development tests.
- Support environmental, vacuum, aerospace, and R&D testing activities.
- Execute tests and collect, analyze, and document results.
- Support troubleshooting and failure investigations.
- Assist with test station setup, calibration, maintenance, and equipment procurement.
- Prepare test reports and maintain quality, test, and failure documentation.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a test engineering or similar role.
- Experience with laboratory equipment, including power supplies, oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and temperature sensors.
- Experience supporting qualification or acceptance testing of hardware products.
- Experience with environmental testing.
- Experience developing test procedures and documentation.
- Experience working with ESD-sensitive hardware.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Vacuum chamber experience, including ultra-high vacuum environments (<1 micro-Torr).
- Aerospace environmental testing experience.
- Experience with vibration, shock, radiation, thermal, and humidity testing.
- Familiarity with military or other high-reliability standards.
- Experience working with high-voltage equipment (up to 5kV).
- Experience with automated test equipment and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with one or more of the following: LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, Altium, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $170,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year.
