Our Tactical Space Systems Division Integration and Test group is seeking a Test Conductor 2 (Integration and Test) to join our team in Gilbert, AZ. You will design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and electrical ground support equipment. The ideal candidate has system-level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and strong computer skills. Daily responsibilities will involve test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques
  • Perform moderately complex professional tasks with demonstrated skill and ability
  • Understand Northrop Grumman test engineering practices and principles
  • Understand both electrical circuits and software within flight hardware and EGSE (Electrical Ground Support Equipment)
  • Support EGSE and flight hardware test/troubleshooting efforts with minimal oversight
  • Grasp escalation plans when test errors are encountered; participate in anomaly resolution and offer technical solutions for FRB approval
  • Travel and support different shifts as required
  • Provide solutions to technical problems of increasing scope and complexity
  • Follow established procedures while applying technical insight to assess test setups and results
  • Contribute to the completion of project milestones
  • Establish and maintain inter-organizational and customer contacts on routine matters

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 2 years of experience; OR a master’s degree with 0 years of experience (4 additional years of work experience may substitute for a degree)
  • Ability to listen effectively, take direction, and complete work in a timely fashion
  • Ability to learn and integrate new programming languages based on previous experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance and special program access

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio or National Instruments LabView
  • Hardware or software testing and test scripting experience
  • Minimum of two years of directly related experience in satellite test
  • Understanding of electrical test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power meters, DMMs, signal generators, etc.)
  • Experience in electronics troubleshooting, RF test configuration, and environments testing (vibration analysis/thermal vacuum chamber testing)
  • Programming experience with Python, C, or C++
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry (development or test)

Pay

Primary salary range: $72,100.00 – $108,100.00. The final offer considers scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differentials, discretionary bonuses, annual bonuses, long-term incentives (for VP/Director roles), health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.
