Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the automated testing infrastructure that ensures reliability across systems processing 1+ billion order events daily—work that directly impacts the fairness and security of financial markets.
- Build scalable testing frameworks that enable our team to deploy confidently and maintain high system reliability.
- Design comprehensive test suites covering unit, integration, and acceptance testing that catch issues before they reach production.
- Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to embed quality practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Provide metrics and reporting on test coverage, quality trends, and system reliability.
- Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems for test infrastructure.
- Investigate and triage test failures, working with development teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong coding skills (Python required)
- Strong experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, unittest, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with version control systems (git)
- Solid foundation in testing methodologies and quality assurance principles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to drive projects independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data quality/lineage platforms (Manta/Ataccama)
- Background in performance/load testing tools
- API and contract testing experience
- Experience with data engineering concepts and tools
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools

Pay
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000 per year, based on skills, experience, and location. The offered salary is just part of the total compensation package. In addition to a competitive salary, the company offers both a discretionary cash bonus and a stock award, as well as a wide range of benefits, including healthcare, tuition reimbursement, and more.
