Test and Automation Engineer

About the role

The Test and Manufacturing Automation Engineer develops and maintains customized automation equipment, processes, programs, and databases for global factories. They collaborate with R&D and operations to support New Product Introduction, enhance operational efficiency, and improve product quality.

Responsibilities

• Support operations through data analysis, troubleshoot issues, and develop corrective actions
• Design and modify automated test and manufacturing equipment using electrical schematics, mechanical CAD, test software, and databases
• Work with new equipment to meet production requirements and support Standard Work implementation
• Conduct quality checks, data collection, and collaborate with teams to resolve technical issues
• Provide feedback on design for manufacturability and participate in product evaluation tests
• Manage test specifications and gauge results in SVN

Qualifications

• BSc in Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Automation, Controls, Robotics, or Computer Science
• Proficiency in LabVIEW, C++, C#, MATLAB, or VB
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Pro-Engineer)
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and controls background for troubleshooting
• Excellent communication skills and computer literacy (MS Office, Excel)
• U.S. Person status required due to export control laws

Skills

• Experience with electric motors, rotating machinery, database SQL, machine communication protocols
• Use of measurement devices, troubleshooting from schematics, and experience with pneumatic or hydraulic systems
