About the role
This position is responsible for administering and proctoring assessments, professional licensure, and certification exams in a secure environment for multiple testing agencies. The role involves complying with all testing policies and procedures, strictly adhering to testing guidelines, and maintaining confidentiality of testing materials and scores.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check-in candidates, verify identification, and communicate exam protocols to test takers.
- Review candidate's registration paperwork for accuracy and request revisions if required.
- Communicate effectively when denying admission to ineligible candidates.
- Maintain confidentiality of testing materials, logs, non-disclosure agreements, and test scores.
- Set up testing rooms and prepare materials for both paper-pencil and computer-based testing.
- Administer private testing sessions to candidates with approved accommodations.
- Administer both in-person and remote testing sessions to College and Career Readiness students.
- Monitor and move around the testing room to ensure students are properly seated to avoid testing irregularities.
- Travel to offsite locations, including NC prisons and jails, to administer assessments and High School Equivalency exams.
- Document and report all test center irregularities to the test vendor and the Test Center Specialist.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with the test vendor.
- Maintain a neat testing area, including erasing note boards and sanitizing tables and keyboards after exams.
- Participate in scheduled in-service training, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- Valid Driver's license and approval required by the College’s liability insurance carrier.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, night, and one designated Saturday per month based on testing schedule.
Skills
- Ability to pass and maintain certifications for BEST Plus, Pearson Vue, GED, HiSET, and TABE.
