About Tessa

Tessa is a Great Pyreneees/Shepherd/Husky mix, 1.5 years old, and weighs 49 lbs. She is a gentle, goofy, happy, and super sweet girl. Tessa has completed a four-week board and train with K9 Command and has made great progress with leash confidence and commands.

Tessa takes a little time to warm-up to meeting new people, but once she does, she’s your biggest fan! She loves to smile, snuggle, play, and knows all the best looks to steal your heart! Her eye contact game is on point! Tessa hasn’t met a dog she doesn’t like!

Tessa loves being outside in the yard, romping, running, and tossing toys around. She’s also content lying in the grass, watching the birds and soaking up the sun. She is getting better about alone time, but she would ideally be adopted to a family with previous dog experience and/or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new surroundings.

History and Support

Tessa transferred from a rescue partner in Texas and arrived in Seattle area foster care on 1/13/23. When adopted, Tessa will have an in-person training session as well as lifetime trainer support provided by K9 Command to help get her off to a great start and keep up her progress with her new family.

Requirements

Tessa would thrive in a family with previous dog experience and/or with another playful well-adjusted dog to help her become comfortable in her new surroundings. Her new family should also be aware that she takes a little time to warm-up to meeting new people.
